Thanks Mika. Even a decision that ends up wrong is better than no decision.

What a powerful post! It's rare to see someone plan out multiple decades at a time, and I love the vision!

It's surprising how fast 10 years can go! When I looked back from 50 I realised we had just been marking time. It was a difficult decision for us to borrow to invest in realestate but I was determined to move forward with intention. Once we made a move we had some ups and downs but came out better than when we started. We took calculated risks to bring about change. Change is pretty scary. Now when I look ahead from 70 I realise that there are some things that I have to do sooner than later or they just won't happen. That's why I did all my international travel before I was 60. I like reading about what you are doing and I look forward to reading about your successes.

What's on your mind?

I’d like to do some pack free walks, travel a bit more, sew some quilts Such things get harder as you age. A fit 80 year old is nothing like a fit 60 or 70 year old.

I'm already feeling worse at 40 than I thought I would.

But I'm also trying to keep in mind that age is mostly one's mindset 🤞 (and I'm sure I'll also feel better as I improve certain physical habits too 😉).

You seem so sharp and active and lively! I'm looking forward to hearing about your walks and travels and quilts! :-)

Thanks Lou. I’m excited to see so many people of all ages deciding to take control of their lives. Substack is a good place for me to hang out and absorb stuff.
